Examples of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos in Design

While controversial, the use of religious imagery establishes credibility for the PS2 and Lara Croft (the figurine), conveying that both are worthy of worship.

Using Kate Moss as the face of this Calvin Klein campaign creates credibility for the brands because she is such a high profile model.

Because the ad is LGBT oriented, the audience feels sympathetic for the couple portrayed in the photo.

The expression in the girls face is filled with unease and drama, which is projected onto the audience. 

Only words are present on the page, expressing purely information.

There is simply a date on the bottom, detailing the day the image was taken.
